Instrumentation
Aquatech Enviroscience Laboratories Inc. (AEL) is
proud to offer a broad spectrum of analytical and environmental services
to all clients across North America. With our state-of-the-art analytical
instrumentations and highly experienced personnel, we are very well
established and fully committed to provide high quality data. Our capabilities
are greatly enhanced with the equipment listed below:
- Gas Chromatograph
coupled with Tandem Mass Spectrometer (GCMS)
- Gas Chromatograph
equipped with Solid Phase Microextraction (SPME) sample preparation
device. Set up as dual chromatographic channel GC with the option
of FID or ECD detection.
- Isotope Ratio
Mass Spectrometer (IRMS) with Elemental Analyzer (EA) and GasBench
(GB) for analysis of stable isotopes of C, N, S, H and O in liquid
and solid matrices.
- HPLC set up
for analysis of Algae pigments, toxins, as well as disinfection byproducts,
pharmaceuticals and some organics.
- Dual Channel
Ion Chromatograph from Dionex is set up for continuous analyses of
cations and anions in water, as well as Poly-phosphates, Bromate and
Perchlorate.
- Carbon Analyzer
from Shimadzu for analysis of Total and Dissolved organic/inorganic
carbon (TC, DC, TOC, DOC) in water samples.
- Lachet Autoanalyzer
is used to analyze ultra-trace level of nutrients (TP, TDP, TN, SiO2,
NH3) in water, soil and sediments.
Isotope
Ratio Mass Spectrometer DELTAplus Advantage
is
a universal tool for isotope ratio determination like 13C/12C,
15N/14N, 18O/16O, 34S/32S
in dual inlet and continuous flow modes. D/H determination is available
in dual inlet mode.
Equipped with High
Temperature Elemental Analyzer, DELTAplus Advantage
IRMS allows the determination of C, H, N, S, O in organic compounds,
water, and organisms. Supported by a robotic autosampler GasBench-II
and SamplePrep. Device, a wide variety of
applications has become accessible for high-precision on-line measurements
performed by DELTAplus Advantage.
The GasBench-II
, connected to a DELTAplus Advantage
offers the precision of the classical dual inlet methods for CO2-H2O
equilibration, phosphorolysis of carbonates, CO2 from air,
and Dissolved Inorganic Carbon (DIC) with enhanced productivity and
ease-of-operation.
Gas
Chromatograph (GC) - GC/MS/FID/ECD Detectors
Gas Chromatograph instrumentation equipped with various detection
systems such
as Ion Trap Mass Spectrometer (MS), Flame Ionization
Detector (FID) and Electron Capture Detector (ECD), opens up unprecedented
analytical possibilities in various applications of Environmental studies.
Extremely high sensitivity
of Tandem MS detector is combined with
super powerful
identification tool for analyzing trace levels of disinfection byproducts
(DBPs), taste-odor compounds (TO), various insecticides
and pesticides, PCBs, Dioxins and Furans.
The FID
is used for characterization and quantification of essential fatty
acids (FAME)
for nutrition, food-web, contaminant transport and aquaculture research.
The sensitivity
of the ECD enables it to provide unmatched performance
for extremely tough applications. It is the first choice for environmental
chromatographs due to its extreme sensitivity to PCBs, organochlorine
pesticides, herbicides, and halogenated hydrocarbons such as DBPs
and others.
High
Performance Liquid Chromatograph (HPLC)
HPLC system from Dionex equipped with Photo Diode Array (PDA)
UV-Vis detector is a powerful tool widely used by Aquatech Enviroscience
Laboratories Inc. in a variety of applications such as:
- Analysis of organic
compounds of different natures
- Fossil pigments
of phytoplankton to develop historic patterns of water quality
- Polyphosphate
in sediment cores to trace historic eutrophication
- Characterization
and quantification of algal toxins
High Performance Ion Chromatograph & AutoAnalyzer
A routine use of the methodologies developed by Aquatech Enviroscience
Laboratories Inc. for Ion Chromatography provides valuable information
on such parameters as:
- Ionic surfactants
- Sulfonates
- Azide
- Borate
- Chromate
|
- Inorganic cations
- Inorganic anions
- Ammonia
- Amines
